The Route

Here we go... this is our cunning plan!

Want to get involved?

We are looking for anyone who lives at any of the here mentioned stop-off points who may want to take advantage of our visit.

We are looking for opportunities to collect cash for the Cancer Charity we are supporting, so if you own a pub, are holding an event or own any type of business... maybe we can promote each other.

Maybe you know someone who might want to get involved, a radio station or whatever, if it is just to thrash your local pool or darts team we’re up for it.

  • Sunday the 31st of July - Land’s End to St Austell.
Having arrived at Land’s End following a gruelling trip in the back-up lorry... (plenty of singing and the wearing of silly hats)... we leave Land’s End on our 60 mile trip to St Austell... where we bed down for the night.
  • Monday the 1st of August - St Austell to Torquay
After a hearty breakfast of cornflakes and sour milk we should be all fired-up for our next leg... the 108 mile trek to sunny Torquay.
  • Tuesday the 2nd of August - Torquay to Poole
Looking forward to an easy ride Tuesday... with plenty of Torquay rock to chew-on we only have to cover 83 miles, should be a breeze... looking forward hitting Poole early Tuesday.
  • Wednesday the 3rd of August - Poole to Hastings
By midday Poole should be way behind us as we push our mopeds way past their safe running speeds. This run will certainly sort out the wheat from the chaff as we’ll be hitting 30mph plus in an attempt to cover the 132 miles set by Div to reach Hastings before night falls.
  • Thursday the 4th of August - Hastings to Southend
Another hard day set before us as we set-out on the 123 miles to Southend via the Dartford Tunnel. The Tunnel is the one stretch we’ll not be riding our steeds as mopeds are banned through the tunnel... however, you have my word all the mopeds will be mounted by their riders in the back of the lorry as we pass through the tunnel... honest. Looking forward to seeing you all at Southend
  • Friday the 5th of August - Southend to Wymondham
With the added incentive of seeing our families we’ll no doubt be up and off extra early... with any laggers left for dead. With 110 miles to cover until we can rest and celebrate we probably wont even be stopping at any of ’Queenies’ roadside cafe’s’ but press-on.
